Claim

What is actually being promised by the term or label in question? We start by stating the plain-English claim before assessing it.

Evidence

What measurement, certification, dataset, or standard supports the claim? We prefer government sources, standards organizations, peer-reviewed research, and recognized nonprofit research institutions, in that order, before manufacturer technical documentation.

Context

Under what conditions is the claim actually meaningful? A claim can be technically true and still misleading without the conditions that make it accurate -- local recycling infrastructure, certification scope, or measurement boundaries, for example.

Evidence Quality Ratings

Each evidence page is rated Strong, Moderate, Context-Dependent, or Weak/Undefined. This is an editorial assessment of how well-supported and specific the underlying evidence is, not a universal scientific score.
